Gelli plates are cheap, quick and easy to make, and there are many hours of creative fun.

I have seen some online with GELLI plates, and think it looks so funny. You can buy ready-Gelli plates online.

But I always think it's fun to do things for yourself, so I decided to try making my own records. And now that I've tried it, and I know how easy and fun it is, Should I clearly try it again. Then Wednesday came Ruwan here in my workshop, so we could paint and pressing. I did, however, even the plates ready the day before, so we had something to "play" with.

I poured the mass in a small metal plate I had bought in Japan, it measures 15,5 cm x 26 cm just to have an idea of ​​the size. My plate was about 8 mm and it was fine, but do not make them thinner then I think they get too limp, try to go after 1 cm in thickness.

Do it only took max 10 minutes before it was solidified and ready for use. I asked the dog in the refrigerator for the next day. If you want it to last longer can pour glycerin in. The plate I had made we cut over to 2 plates.

One painting by putting a tiny bit of paint on the plates and then rolls to paint out with linoleum rolls (you can also use foam rollers from the sisters Branches also have acrylic paint). One can then put feathers, leaves mm. I love the old big ginkgo tree we have in the garden, so I used the leaves I found on the lawn. You can also cut some paper templates you put on before you roll the color of.

Be sure to have plenty of paper ready, in order to can make many prints of the same plate. There are endless possibilities so just try. I think the plate can keep a week without glycerine.

One can also make stamps. I made a Gelli plate more and punched simple shapes with metal cake stamps or cut the shape out with scissors. You can then roll the paint on them and use them as stamps
