Food images from the world

Time flies, but it was many journeys

So, I am back to fit this blog a little better, After the previous year's Christmas calendar has been a little quiet here. But now I am going to post all the pictures and good recipes that lie and wait. My goal is at least a new recipe once a week. And one of the first I'll poste, will be my “the world's best” Chili con carne, adapted for several years and loved by many children 🙂

After 2 years with nicely much travel, and travel to exotic places like Uzbekistan and Iran, ended 2016 become a crazy rejseår for me, both work tasks and with my family and a “dannelsestur” to San Francisco alone with my sweet boy where we ate so much good food. It was both Flensburg, Barcelona, St. Petersburg, several times in the United States and the year ended with a long-planned 3 -week family trip to Dubai and India where we also should visit our Tibetan family (a 13 year old boy we have sponsored in 9 years, his brother and his uncle).

Food there is fortunately all spots. Since I love to take pictures and view images from around the world, I share here below a small selection of the year's food pictures from different places in the world. All the great food I've seen and been has, of course, been a great inspiration. In addition to all the missions stood the last 4-5 months of the year also on a huge transformation of our home. And now, After 12 years, I've finally got the new kitchen I have drawn on for years, and are super happy about it. It is also a good opportunity for me, to get cleaned up in many directories and small fix patches with recipes I have all spots, now, all online at the blog :).

I also reached to keep part courses for children last year, both design and food-related courses….I have also this year held mini doughnnut workshop for children, I repeat next week at Rushden library.

But this year will be not so much moving around Europe, When I have time in the other design projects. But the first week of may must I on a madtur to Marakesh in Morocco, I am I me. We must even Cook, style and photograph.

If anyone should feel inspired to travel to India (contrasts) I can highly recommend Pushpinder, who arranged our trip for us, of course after our desires. He is very up in that everything should be alright, and everything on our trip also worked perfect. He can both help plan, or you can take on some of his group travel. His website can be seen here.

San Francisco is a Mecca for food and delicious restaurants. Here, however, the modern diner food, Spicy ahi tuna and garlic fries from Gott's Roadside, available both in Calistoga in the Napa Valley and at the foot of Market street in San Francisco.

Absolutely amazing Christmas Eve dinner at the Taj hotel in Kerela (South India) with all kinds of food and millions of cooks, took place outside on the hotel's golf course in 30 degrees Celcius.

On the drive down to the southern tip of India we came past the many food and fish markets

Here made Dosa and puri, and more for breakfast at one of Taj Hotels in South India.

On 2 day trip with houseboat in Alleppey, was one of our two deck men also our chef and produced many delicious dishes in the tiny kitchen. It was quite a contrast to the hotels, who all had gigantic breakfast buffet. Should we ever to South India, Kerela State, so is such a husbådstur really a completely amazing experience.

This picture had to with, because it just is one of the most incredible I've seen, and it is indeed something with food :). In Mumbai brings 5000 Dabawallas (the men in white clothes) 200.000 packed lunches out to people at their work every single day. They download them at home with the women and carrying them into the Centre by train to Mumbai, where they are sorted here in front of the station, then walk or bike the out with them. After sigenende doing the no errors, Despite the fact that most cannot read or write, but they use a number and numbering system. They hold lectures for large companies about their unique methods, and have their own website which can be viewed here. I can also recommend the movie “The lunchbox”, which is a romantic movie, where two people meet due to misdelivery of the daily lunch box. This Dabawalla phenomenon exists only in Mumbai, not in other Indian cities.

I'm not crazy about flymad, but on the last trips ordered Vegan Food, It doesn't have to be insanely exciting, But however much “transparent” what you got, Here pasta with vegetables, Salad, fruit.

And last but not least a picture from my new kitchen, that is all that I have always dreamed of. It has been a very long process to get it designed, I'm very use and daily flow.
If you want to see more pictures of the kitchen and the details, It can be seen on my design blog BUGIisland here
