It is a reasonably fast right to make. If I have planned in advance boil I always even kidney beans, but the other day where we are certain the same morning, I bought them canned in Net :).
I often make a double portion and freeze half down. We eat it over rice, because otherwise I think it's a little too much meat to get violent. But love to meat you can easily eat it without rice. In the United States on Mels dinner serves the chili con carne over pommesfritter, meeeeen it seems I might is just a little too much :).
The other day I put two 11 year old boys to make this chili. It went fine too, most cans have self-open handle on top, but it had those tomato cans do not. It turned out that my boy had never seen a can opener before, and when he is left-handed, he could not get it to work. After a hard battle, his companion managed to open two cans :))
There may well be some fluid in the finished right, but we just good touches around before we pour over rice. One day I made with 3 canned tomatoes I took actually some of the liquid from and used to cook the rice with 🙂
