Last week held my colleague Charlotte Selvig Svendsen and I, For the second year in a row our popular summer Creative & KITCHEN. View Charlotte's great draws and collages here.

We found the concept last year around April, and we ended up all sold out and the waiting list. This year it was so crazy, when I already in January!! got all 2 inquiries whether we stayed the course again this year. I hastened therefore to get it up on my web shop BUGIstudio.com and we ended up sold out and the waiting list for many months ago, a really nice feeling. We have now learned for next year, at mødrene er meget tidligt ude med deres planlægning.

Although the weather was not just good every day, had we 4 rigtig fantastiske dage med helt utrolig søde og velopdragne børn.

We had 20 participants aged from 7 year up to two girls on 13 years. In a new year, there were also boys enrolled, all 4 pcs. It was a really nice experience, that children actually CAN work, have fun and enjoy themselves together in 6 hours straight with NO cell phones :). We were also very happy to have a, almost private, playground right outside the door, so the kids could just go for a jog, climb or play some ball, when they could not sit still anymore, det fungerede super godt.

We had planned a new creative- and a bake task for every day, and with 20 children have enough to do as a teacher. Most days, I stood up all day. So when Friday afternoon came, I was a bit flat, but happy because of all the sweet active children. Saturday I cleaned up my kitchen, where every day I was preparing a dough, søndag holdt jeg fri så først mandag kom jeg til bunds i mit værksted.

All the recipes we used is of course on my blog, and 2 of them were brand new, below the program and links to recipes. The children were fortunately quite excited about it all, I had already tested on my own boy

Silkclay figures & crispy Cookies (with cardamom). Her blev bygget de flotteste og sjoveste farverige figurer udover et ståltrådsskellet.

Film T-shirts & French ginger biscuits. Så mange flotte t-shirts som kan ses på gruppebilledet.

Diplomas sent to the participant, and now I am ready to hold summer vacation with my husband and boy, it is both in our beloved cottage on Orø og et lille smut til Toscana.

Below 27 examples of my boy's daily lunch box creations. I have photographed them the last weeks before the summer break (When I remembered it).

A layer is leftover from dinner, the other layers, he has single-handedly created the morning. He has even stood for the layer every day since has started in 1. class, and on Monday he starts in 3. class. I must say that I am proud of him, but he really enjoys it and is even singing when making them

Lunch box system is French and is called MonBento. Lunchboxes can be purchased around the web also a few Danish dealers, I have purchased both at home and directly from Monbenots website here.
If necessary my previous post about the system here. You can among other things buy cutlery and two small containers. We always use the cutlery, and the two small containers, we use sometimes to ketchup and roasted onions if he has grill sausages with

Very functional and durable lunchbox system

I share this and hope that others can get just as much pleasure from the MonBento lunch boxes as we have had for the last 3 years. I know well, not all can be just as lucky as us, that they can get their child/children to make their own packed lunches each morning, but you never know – I've posted some examples in a post here

When my boy (nicknamed BUGI) started in school in 2012, I wanted to start with a special and delicious lunch box “culture”. I know he prefers leftover from the day before for ryebread sandwiches. And when I was in Japan for many years ago I bought a lunchbox in two layers, I even love and often used for food. So I was looking on the net for Japanese Bento boxes, and found the French system MonBento (inspired from japan). Madkassen er rigtig lækker kvalitet og indeholder ikke phthalater.

when it was worn out and I had to buy a new, I found out that the first square model we had was discontinued, and instead had been an oblong model in two layers (that fit much better into the bag), and that I could actually buy them much cheaper in Denmark with Manillo, You can see the lunch boxes here. We have gradually invested in 3 set with 2 layer in each, for my boy has a very good appetite, and usually he has 4 layer with, but sometimes 5 layer. We also like to have an extra layer that is purely for today's dinner, so for us, it is fine to have 3 set. However, I think most can settle for less :). I have sewn a bag for madkassen of a nylon gym bag with DrawString top, and the rubber band is from the old square box. You have to run with as many boxes as us, You should probably sew two of the rubber bands together that comes with a 2 layer lunchbox

Our system is simply, a layer we fill we with leftovers from dinner and put in the refrigerator, the other layers is with fruit and vegetables and small snacks. We make pizza or burgers, I always make a few small pizzas that fits in size or an oblong burger bun. We have not eaten at home, He either get a roll, something crisp bread or something we cook pasta in the morning. He'd much rather have these things, even though he can not heat the food in school (The lunch box works with both microwave and dishwasher).

The lunchbox can be purchased directly from Monbento in France through their hjemmeside. I've even ordered them from France without any problems the first time I bought any. If you prefer to buy them in Denmark, there are also some dealers, just try to Google “monbento lunchboxes”

Since 1. class, he has even stood for all fruit and vegetable layers, He stands up even at 6.15 and begin, and break open to wash and carve and make it all clear. I think after all his lunches almost are works of art and have posted a lot in the next post. It is also nice easy for us (his parents) for he has almost made it all before we got up. He's very aware of what he eats, and also a little “prissy” If an avocado is the wrong color, or wind ruerne not quite hard so he won't eat them, but I think it's good to be aware of what you put in your mouth :).

Easy and fun way to use chocolate residues

If you bake, make cream puffs, chocolates mm so you have probably often a small leftover melted chocolate back. I always make chocolate lollipops of the remains, and sometimes sprinkles we different things on your choice. My boy who (Fortunately,) do not eat ordinary lollipops love them. Har man ingen rester kan man jo også hurtigt smelte chokolade til at lave dem.

Lollipops-sticks can be purchased in different cake shops. The two stores I use on the net have them, It is Bagetid.dk and (K) for Cake. You can also buy moulds for lollipops with many different fun, wacky and weird shapes :). Bagetid.dk also the chokoladesmeltere I use, the smart thing about them is that they have a bowl with a lid, so you can also save the chocolate leftovers in the fridge for next time, and you can buy multiple bowls. I use them also on the way, that I first tempererer over a water bath, but use metal dish from chocolate smelter, til sidst sætter jeg den så i smelteren for at holde konstant temperatur.

If licking the sticks should look nice and shiny then tempering of chocolate is important, otherwise it will be white when it is cooler. If you just want to make a little fun with her children so I will just melt the chocolate and make them instantly. Men du kan se om chokolade temperering i opskriften.
