Bugi of Orø is our old Myra Nordfjord 22 motor boat that needs a big warm loving hand.
Our list of projects is fairly long, and our old boat is another project to pounce. We bought the boat VERY cheap for a couple of years ago, and since our home is right on the harbor, it is the fast to go to the boat when the weather is good, but we have not used it very much, our longest trip is to Bognæs or around the island to the campground.
I still dream of sailing out to lunch and sit and catch plaice as I did with my grandfather as a child. The freshly caught plaice and his new dug small potatoes stands still for me as something special.
It's hard to find another boat cheap, so now we have decided to spend some time to make it nice and delicious. I'll try to sew a cover (it is very expensive to get one made of other than what we have given for the boat).
When we bought it I cleaned the roof and sewed a new window, but ideally it should be changed and we would like to put some side windows and give it a little more height behind to. I have found on the net a boat like ours that have been put super nice in a position inside, it we were very inspired by.
You can see the delicious boat on the top pictures, the lower 3 Images are our boat. So we will also open up into the front bedroom cabin where there is now a door, think it looks super good that there are open, like lounge-like.
We are now in the process of drawing and surveying, etc.. I've got swatches to cover fabric, either it must be gray or also completely dark marine blue :), but there are probably a few hours in the project, but maybe we can sail to Rorvig at the end of the summer and spend the night on the boat :).
