Freshly baked bread is always delicious, and especially when we are at home, we like to buy warm organic rye bread in the Shopping Mall's bake-off. We are so happy for the warm bread that we usually end up with an uneaten piece from the previous day. Since I hate food waste, is rye bread chips of course the perfect way to get used remnants. I use minimal oil, seems actually often the bread chips you buy is too greasy / fatty.

It is reasonably fast to cut the bread into thin slices and spray with oil and then in the oven, BUT in this house they are also eaten as soon as they are finished toasted 🙂 .

APPROACH

  • Cut the old pieces of bread into thin slices
  • Make sure that all discs are the same thickness as the roasted one
  • I've shared printers 4 pcs, first in half and then obliquely 2 pieces.
  • Spray the pieces with oil on both sides (I do not use very much)
  • Sprinkle with salt
  • Distribute the pieces on a baking sheet or plate
  • Bake at 200 ° C until they are light brown, CA 10-12 min
