Fresh fish and vegetables are packed and fry together on the grill in foil
There is nothing as good as the sun, summer, fresh fish and outdoor cooking. It's something I really enjoy in our cottage on Oroe. I have yet to even caught a flounder, but bought them at the port or received by neighbors who bring yarn. But this year, I hope we can catch any, either with a hook or learn how to put yarn.
This is a very simple recipe, where you on top of the fish puts a lot of vegetables, packages it in tin foil and place on the grill. The fish tastes of course best with new potatoes, parsley and butter sauce.
RECIPE – Fish packets with vegetables
INGREDIENTS
Whole flounder/plaice (You can of course also use fillets)
Minced parsley
Onions cut into thin writes
Tomatoes cut into smaller pieces
Mushrooms, sliced
A knob of butter to each flounder
Salt, pepper and thyme
APPROACH (per flounder)
- Butter a large piece of tin foil with butter
- Put the flounder on silver paper then all the vegetables on top
- Salt and pepper and thyme and a knob of butter on top (EVS. a splash of white squeal)
- Close the silver paper to a closed “package”
- Put “fishing package” on a hot grill for about 15 min until fish is enough and the vegetables sizzle
- Lifted gently onto a plate with a palette or served directly in silver paper
