New kitchen = Daily joy

I had probably never thought that I could be so happy every day, just because everything works and there is order around me :).

This kitchen has be several years in the making, and there are many thoughts behind. The function next better than hoped, and we use it all. Every day is a pleasure to use it, to sit in it and just look at it. And although it has become very white and I call the dental clinic, I am super happy simplicity, and that all creation goes to the ceiling so that no dirt, fedt og rod ovenpå skabene.

There has been a little bump in the road in the construction project because the supply of wrong kitchen cabinets and doors, but now the delivery date of the new place, og planen er lagt for hvornår det hele er klar.

Today begins the great remodeling

So I'm at it again….much the same process as when I worked at the cottage 3 years ago, but this time it's our old house in Frederiksberg. After 12 years and refurbishment of basement, 1. floor and ceiling are we finally reached the ground floor. We almost from the outset lived with a bathroom tampered half apart, fridge with handles of wire, bordplader med hakker i etc.

I have cut the leaves, and collected pictures on the web, but this time I decided to use Pinterest to gather my inspirations, and it's super smart, I have boards with tiles, bathrooms, kitchens, køkendetaljer etc. Men jeg savner måske lidt at kunne sætte dem i collager som jeg plejer at gøre.

Stop it!! it was that the home was ripped off in a day. Martin our craftsman in charge of our entire rebuilding (Frederiksberg Håndværkerservice) just sent me pictures from home. He moved in with several man Thursday, and it looks as if they've ripped everything out already. I am very excited to see it when I just have to go home and come Sundays Monday to cope with a task in the city. The kid is also super impressed, and can not understand how they have gotten rid of it all so quickly. I'm almost afraid to our home being too nice, After 12 years in the mess and semi chaos

Badeværelset

I går fik jeg endelig besluttet mig og bestilt alt til badeværelset så det er på plads nu. Jeg er dybt rystet over hvor meget et bademøbel koster, i forhold til hvad vi har givet for et helt køkken er det vanvittigt. Jeg har fundet rigtig gode sider i Tyskland hvor alting er langt billigere, kan bla
anbefale https://www.badmoebel-markenshop.de, de kan sagtens sende med billig fragt til DK (€45, it corresponds well to sending a letter to Jutland by post Denmark:) ). But but, after a lot of time on the German side ended yesterday I still choose my first "love" a bathing Furniture from Bath and Ask on Østerbrogade I think is very beautiful, selvom prisen er sindsyg.

Kitchen / dining area

Home Frederiksberg, we are not so good at keeping order and clean up, but Orø / BUGIisland clears we well up every time we go home, så det er altid dejligt at komme op til et helt opryddet pænt sommerhus

I also stacked firewood so we are ready to fire in the stove. I found out that I could fill a lot of firewood under the small sideboard…super smart. Our game shelf is almost completely filled up, I came to buy 3 new games on Easter flea market hall , 20 kr paragraph that went to the Red Cross, og de havde aldrig været åbnet.

We are ready for another weekend on the island, Im already excited

Good memories from the big world

Most things in our home is bought or made for the house, but I also have a few things from the big world. Both back from my many years in the US, but also from my amazing travels to Uzbekistan and Iran the last few years.This typical American wooden office chair I found on the street when I lived in New York, it was put out for garbage. When I found it was the white, I then spray painted it black. Jeg fandt faktisk også en Eames glasfiber stol på gaden i New York.

On the wall I have collected a little differently, top my tubeteika bought in Uzbekistan, it is a men's hat that folds completely flat together so you can put it in your pocket. BATHROOM conversion with themes

So, we finally finished our remodeling and I'm super happy about it. I badeværelset er temaet sort-hvidt samt det geometriske mønster på de marrokanske gulvfliser som jeg har brugt både i vinduesfolier og bademåtte.
We are already super happy showering bathtub from Strømberg & Fischer. Mirror cabinet is also very practical with lots of space, but not too deep. Og skønt med varme håndklæder der hænger på kroge på den store papirclips håndklæderadiator.

Mirrored closet is huge, but the flattest I could find so it does not protrude as much out. We would have a power of, as toothbrushes can stand inside the closet. We have taken extra socket in, but the engineer in the house have afterwards drill holes and pulled hidden wires so all 3 toothbrushes now stands neatly in a row, and electrician has drawn power, saw the light at the sides of the cabinet is turned on wall, while there is always power in the cabinet

Build a swimming pool in the garden

I did not really our lovely cottage lacked nothing, but now there is a swimming pool for, og jeg må sige at det bare ser SÅ godt ud.

I usually well to mention our cottage Bugi Island, but now it is turned into a complete resort, so now it must surely be named Bugi Island Resort. I created a logo and printed bath mats, and writing, I started to draw some towels to press for “resort”.

The swimming pool was this summer's project (= All my husband's vacation), but nice is it really been, I am very impressed, both above the final result, and how diligently he has weather. I also think there was a bit more work in all the tree editing than he had first anticipated. Fortunately, the pool has already been used extensively this summer, and we have been visited by many children, og knægten har nu næsten lært at svømme.

I started the course project examining models and prices and found a freestanding pool from Spanish GRE. The negotiated several places, but for quite different prices. The first place I called said incidentally that one could easily put such a pool in one day, but it fits therefore not. There is some preliminary work in the leveling of the ground. I would recommend that you hire a Bobcat to processed, even if it is to be buried. We got Orø local Peter Pedersen to dig the hole and align the bottom of. He also helped to place side stiffeners. There have been steps along the side, and at the end an extra terrace when we have evening there, but it also provides ample space for sun loungers and hammock. But now that it's dark at night, it now also very good with light in the pool (waterproof magnetic diode lamps we have set up on the inside of the pool).

Update:

One thing you MUST have is a pool vacuum cleaner, ours is christened Kevin and it even runs around and cleans the bottom, so the pool always looks good. Jeg tror ikke man kan have en pool uden.

Holding the pool has been incredibly easy, we drive with chlorine tablets where we leave it in the bag and only cut off the corners, then it lasts longer and we don't get too much chlorine in it. The pump is set to run 6 times a day. Vi har skiftet sand i pumpen ud med filterkugler for ikke at få sand i poolen.

After a couple of years we put on a heat pump that can raise the temperature, it is both good at the start and end of the season, but also makes the children stay longer in the water during the summer. The heat pump is also purchased from PoolOasen .

The filter pump uses approx 0.5 Kwh per hour and the heat pump uses approx 5 Kwh pr time. The new heat pumps are probably more efficient, vores er et par år gammel.

We also had for a couple of years an old roller coaster from a playground set up, but this year, it's peeled down, da den er meget smal.

Bedspreads with print

Then I made my bedspreads. I can not even print large, but as an offer through Groupon. It is a Spanish company that has printed. Although they are in Spain, their service was quite fine and they were very helpful. I sent all the files, but they also have templates you can use if you want to do other things. They have many different products, har selv overvejet at prøve håndklæderne.

I love the stripes so it was common for all three bedspreads. I'm very pleased with them. And I think we have the most local-patriotic cottage on Orø :). But we are real so fond of the little island so close to Copenhagen, we think we've made a find when we somewhat randomly found the island

Alberto's room has got various logos I made for things on Orø, Orø Lam & Orø Vikinge festival som på puderne.

I finally found the perfect little black sideboard that fits perfectly in the chart on the sloping wall between the living room and kitchen-dining room. There even 2 små skuffer der passer perfekt til nøgler og mobilledninger.

Juubii it means that the house is nearing completion, and ready for photography. I have said no to the photo session in January, because I think there should be green outside so you can open the large folding doors. But in April / May there will be a photographer and a stylist and take pictures for a living leaf. Jeg er så spændt på hvad de kan få ud af det.

I have incidentally also just got drawn some bedspreads now be printed, hope it becomes too much with stripes, but I eeeeelsker the stripes. Firmaet ligger i Spanien, men har fin kundeservice (jeg var så heldig at købe Groupon tilbud til en super god pris).

Sidste step er vist det planlagte skur, og jeg kan næsten ikke vente til det er klar, så den store kummefryser der lige nu står og fylder hele gangen kan flytte derud, it just becomes a party when it's gone….tålmodighed siger jeg til mig selv

Jeg nået et skridt længere med de sidste detaljer på BUGI island.
I've had printed all the pillows on my new printer, All pads are in a nice linen quality (of course) with Orø related subjects. The pillows are big 80×80 cm, and the couch is also 50×50 cm and 30×50 cm puder.

I have printed various Orø logos I designed blah for Orø lamb and the upcoming Orø Viking Festival (last weekend of July) and of course the weeping willow from the garden and a crab and a snake we caught last year. The small cushions are reversible and have pressure on both sides, the bright yellow is light gray on the back and the small pillows with wood is dark and light gray. Alle de store puder er sorte på bagsiden.

In the master bedroom where there are views to the now cuttings formed by weeping willow, er puderne selvfølgelig trykt med træet i sin højmagts dage.

A bit from the device Bugi Island

Time flies and I am very backward here on the blog, sorry….I unfortunately lost all the link I had promised to put into, because my computer died :(. I've moved on with decor, but have not finished the whole house all details. Rumfordelingen works thankfully really good and am super happy kitchen, and especially the smart contact that is stored in the table, it is super convenient. For decor, I have used a portion of its own design, scroll Le Klint lamps, doormats and skobakker and soon pillows, viskestykker og grydelapper jeg regner med at få trykt i næste uge.

Sun and joy in Bugi island

Here I am now at 4. fantastic week in summer countryside and smiling and enjoying the view. I have a hard time imagining that the holidays are ending soon and peace and quiet is over (right now there are a noisy pheasant down at one end of the garden, but otherwise, here quietly).

We are at the end of a road and here comes not just pass unless they need something here, but I have just had a visit from one of OrøCykelklub who was bicycling with weekly advertising newspaper from the supermarket. The club is only for men over 60. Bicycle Club 20 medlemmer afholder cykelture og får penge for at omdele de lokale reklamer.

But Orø is a fantastic island, we have been twice out of the kayak and on Friday there is cruise with Holbaek ferry around Isefjorden, we fit 5 cows and 5 calves, we visited the local beekeeper, bought flounder on the harbor, half Orølam and fresh potatoes just around the corner. The weather has been fantastic and I rejoice every day by how nicely here. I can not quite understand that the house is finished and, it is our fine house and, that we can come here as often as we will

In the next weeks coming 55 white dogwood hedge shrubs / plants to be planted in front of the house, and the grass is fine going up everywhere, så det ydre er også snart klar.

Now I will go ahead with the promised blog post with links and ideas for places to buy furniture and decor, places where I have found things at reasonable prices…..I had just wanted to share a little summer joy….
