Strawberry Sorbet

Strawberry sorbet
If you love strawberries as I do, so it is a must to try this sorbet

Strawberry season is upon us, and the other day after a trip in Holbæk, I got the opportunity to buy 5 Hills strawberries at a good price.

But the plan here in the summer was just experimenting a little with sorbet, both Strawberry and lemon, so it was perfect with a lot of hills Strawberry – and I really love strawberries.

Sorbeten got top nature of the family yesterday, and they seem good I can make more of the. So today must prepare sorbet, Yesterday I actually got 11 Hills strawberries for an even better price on the same stage space in Holbæk – I have never before had 5, 5 kg fresh strawberries at once 🙂

I had no si in our cottage as I tensed a tea towel over a bowl (held by an elastic band) and poured mass in and pressed it out in a bowl.

I poured the ice directly in a form and put in the freezer, for our holiday home IceMaker is without compressor and IE the Bowl must be placed in the freezer, and since kummefryseren is filled up with local ko, Lamb and fish there was not space.

Cold whipped cream is always big favorite, so I served up sorbeten with a dollop of whipped cream whipped with vanilla sugar and a few leaves Chocolate Mint. A plant I got nowhere for a while ago. I have it in a jar, but will plant it out in the garden. It would be super easy to keep, but spread vigorously via its rooting.

  1. It was exactly a strawberry sorbet, there for a few years ago got me to change the opinion about fruit- and bæris. Wow so this is just great, and 5,5 kg Strawberry is certainly not too much , as soon as such a sorbet may disappear.

  2. He he, no I do not mean to get enough strawberries 🙂 but now I only have a tiny bit back….I was so diligent in going, got made sorbet of 1,4 kg Strawberry, a lot of Orange Strawberry juice, and so my Strawberry cream ice-cream with lots of strawberries in mmmmm….. are considering trying an strawberry ice cream made from the milk of the last remnants 🙂
